The most rewarding thing about working at Yelp is the people that I get to work with. There is a very distinct culture here that really creates a sense of family and belonging. Even with the transition to working from home, I still connect with the people that I saw every day in the office, as well as with new friends that don't live in the same state as me.
Last week, we celebrated Spirit Week at Yelp! On Monday, we held a Pet or Plant Parade 🐶 🌿 What's that you ask? We also remain flexible in how we’re approaching the physical return to our offices. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, our top priority has been the health and safety of our employees and the communities in which we live and work.
Engineering Career Series: Building a thriving engineering team
Like most companies, Yelp has had to make substantial changes to the way we onboard new team members over the past year. Yelpers have always been naturally good at fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for new employees.
